I stumble upon an article with this statement: “If you are using the New International Version (NIV) of the Bible, and continue to do so after reading this article, then you are truly blinded by Satan, or just don’t care… The NIV is wicked… I beg you not to simply throw your NIV away, lest someone else be cursed by finding it–rip it to shreds, and then throw it away!” The article quoted many verses, comparing the KJV and NIV text and exposing errors, omission and so called blasphemies of the Word of God. It also informs the readers about Zondervan the publisher who publish The NIV Bible are also the publisher of the Satanic Bible and a certain book for homosexuals. With NIV being the most read translation around the world, this is really a controversy. But actually I’m not really bother by this truth for myself because from the beginning I am using the NLT, NASB and KJV in my studies. As for me, I will not suggest to anyone what Bible Translations to read or not read. What I want to encourage everybody is not to stick at one translation only, to read diverse translation for further insights. I am not supporting that the KJV is the only reliable translation but it is good to return to it because it contains the original words from the Greek. I use KJV in my word studies and it is very rewarding for me because it yields more insights. Paraphrase like NLT and Amplified will also help a lot in our study of the Bible. Another thing, I find this article on a website which fights many false doctrines, satanisms, and occultism. I believe that it is not good for us Christians to be exposed on all those false teachings and doctrines. The best way to counter them is for us to expose our self with the truth. Study the truth of Scriptures and we will never be deceived by all these false teachings. When we are fully aware of what God says we will recognize error when we meet them. “This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ. Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth.” (Ephesians 4:13-14) |
